For those looking to adopt a tree(s):
Sierra Club_poster_2023 (3rd Annual Tree Give Away) reduced
- Runs from 10 am to 3 pm
- Sapling size, Small bare-root trees within the 1-3ft range of height
- Trees offered: Sugar Maple, Bur Oak, Serviceberry, Tulip Trees
- Here are the locations for the tree giveaways, prominent signs will lead you to the correct location in each park.

@ Genesee Valley Park -- near the pool
@ Webster Park -- southwest parking lot at corner of Lake Road and Holt Road
For Volunteering:
- 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
- Volunteers can stay for entire time or two different flexible shifts (Shift 1 8:30 am - 12:30 pm or Shift 2 12:00 - 3:30 pm)
- Volunteers will:
- Help set up in the morning
- create tree "packages" consisting of tree saplings with wet paper towels around roots, and planting instructions
- direct traffic
- talk with drive-in "customers" to determine what tree(s) they want and give them to them
- provide Sierra Club literature
- help tear down at the end of the day
- get a free 8.5"x14" poster created by local artist John Kastner

Any trees that are not adopted on April 29 will need to be planted the following Saturday, May 6, 2023, on one of the properties owned by the Genesee Land Trust. The exact location is still in the works. If you can't come on the 29th? Show up and help on May 6th and you can get your tree(s) then! To help that day, contact [email protected].
